Now this is cool - first I was going to build the picture frame and write the controlling software. Then I realised UMPCs are the off the shelf alternative to my frame and will cost 50c more than I could build one for. Now it turns out I-Mate who are busy building sideshow clients into all their latest handsets have added it to a picture frame!

SideShow could well be a flash in the pan idea, there have been plenty like it in the past. But a SideShow enabled picture frame means any gadget could be easily repurposed onto your picture frame and run up around your house. Get this idea ticking and I’ll buy one for sure. Read more.
