My Girls @ Chanel

Posted by brad on 27th July 2007

My Girls @ ChanelYou may know Gab put me in a spin last week when Max pulled my anniversary present out of the cupboard while I was in the middle of a rant about my computer. Lucky me scored a  Tag watch! Lucky me also discovered our vow of not buying each other anniversary presents was a ruse!

Initially a visit to Fairfax & Roberts left me a little dazed. I started thinking how I was going to get value for money in diamonds when Alastair, the insider, told me there was no such thing. I spent a few more days, calling the haymarket diamond trader crowd before I decided Alastairs other idea of a watch was going to be the answer. Over lunch on Monday I decided on the Chanel J12 in white. I wasn’t over the moon about this one, but it seemed like something Gab might wear. And the whole idea was that atleast I had picked something for her, and if she didn’t like it we’d have a Chanel shopping trip together! So we did, on our anniversary morning we dropped Max at school, then I took Emerson and Gab in to King St.

Emerson was everywhere, hands on everything, bags, clothes, finger prints all over the display cases, she had a ball. Luckily we went back, in the process I found a watch I hadn’t seen earlier in the week when I was there - it bowled us both over. No first year anniversary ring, no first or second born jewelry, poor Gab has waited a long time (as the lady from Fairfax & Roberts described so pointedly.) I think she’s over the moon with the result though.

After Chanel we went for lunch at the Watermark. Balmoral was stunning, almost balmy it was a beautiful day with plenty of people in the water and on the beach. Emerson’s tonsils wouldn’t let us enjoy lunch - the screaming arrived on cue with the main course. They put Gab’s bugs back under the heat lamp while she settled Emerson outside - but she was gone so long they made her a new one! Very impressive.

Frank St Facelift

Posted by brad on 15th July 2007

Click here for the full set“Hey Max, do you want to go see Pa’s warehouse?” “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Whaoo, lets go! We’re going to the warehouse, we’re going to the warehouse, wahoo! Daddy, what’s a warehouse?”

And it somehow lived up to the hype, we beatboxed, played soccor polo, and Pa even went for a hoon. I tried the panoramic thing with a few of these pictures, seems the only good software also comes hobled with big ugly watermarks, but it’s better than nothing.

How crap of me to forget to take the remote toys? Both the helicopter and the buggy would have dug this playground :)

All the pics are here.

The Vault

The Vault

The purchase was part of the bigger tech refresh at cassa-aurisch - the sexiest tablet around the Fuji P1610 and a mac mini, GASP! The mac isnt’ available for another few weeks but almost everything else is here, plenty more on the tablet this week as I start to inject it into my life.

But the Vault is the thing that has me today. I also upgraded the pc,$90 gigabyte mobo all on board, 2gb ram and a core 2 duo and my pc has gone from 2 to 3.something on the vista experience chart. It fraking rocks to have enought room to fit everything I own and have plenty of space left for more

So in the remaining weeks until the final elements of the mac are ready I’m taking submissions on a new Keyboard an Mouse for home. If you’ve used a combo lately that you really liked let me know and perhaps I’ll upgrade. My current one is nasty, but there isn’t anything better I can see.
