If you’ve been waiting for SSD prices to drop to reasonable ranges — now may be the time to put the credit card down. Super Talent has begun selling its 128GB, 2.5-inch, SATA II “MasterDrive LX” for the shocking affordable price of $299, which works out to about $2.49 per gigabyte. If that still puts of pinch on your pocketbook (and what doesn’t right now?), then perhaps you can be enticed by the company’s 64GB offering, which clocks in at a fairly doable $179. With prices this low, you barely have a defense against purchase… unless, you know… you don’t have the money. Then we totally understand.

iPhone/iPod touch users whose offices rely on Lotus Notes for email, calendar, and contacts can now access their information through a customized Safari Mobile interface created by IBM. CNET reports that IBM and Apple are working on a full-fledged Lotus Notes Traveler app or interface for true push access, but in the meantime, iNotes looks like a pretty graceful way to fit your Apple phone into an IBM network. Your network administrator needs to have installed Lotus Domino Web Access 8.0.2 to grant you iNotes access; Notes users who’ve tried out this webapp, let us know what you think in the comments.

Windows only: Rename the thousands of MP3 files in your digital music library and add or edit tags, lyrics, and album art in one fell swoop with free utility TagScanner. Not only can TagScanner clean up the artist, album, song title, and track number information for your digital music files, it can rename your songs based on a pattern you define (like %artist% - %title%), it can make music playlists, and search online databases like freedb and Amazon to automatically tag music missing information. It includes a built-in player as well so you can listen to tracks while you edit. We’ve recommended Media Monkey to whip your music’s metadata into shape, but TagScanner looks like a solid alternative. TagScanner is a free download for Windows only.

This looks pretty cool, it might endup being everything AppleTV failed to
be. Multiplatform supporting windows, linuix and most importantly mac-os
and the xbox.
The coolest piece is that the mac version integrates with itunes and
iphoto, I can’t wait to play with this release. My underpowered macmini may
finally have a purpose!
