I’m somewhere north of 80% confident this is the laptop for me in the mid-year upgrade cycle. If real life is as fast as demo speed this will kick the fuji out of my bag for good :)

How sweet is that display? the gestures, the back lit keyboard, the drop down interface panel? The big issue for me will be ensuring I’m always in a wireless environment, lack of a wired net jack could be the biggest problem.

Roll on the mid-year upgrade :)

Too small for my liking keyboard is really a thumb board but it would definitely be my pick if I was in for a UMPC.

The Vault

The Vault

The purchase was part of the bigger tech refresh at cassa-aurisch - the sexiest tablet around the Fuji P1610 and a mac mini, GASP! The mac isnt’ available for another few weeks but almost everything else is here, plenty more on the tablet this week as I start to inject it into my life.

But the Vault is the thing that has me today. I also upgraded the pc,$90 gigabyte mobo all on board, 2gb ram and a core 2 duo and my pc has gone from 2 to 3.something on the vista experience chart. It fraking rocks to have enought room to fit everything I own and have plenty of space left for more

So in the remaining weeks until the final elements of the mac are ready I’m taking submissions on a new Keyboard an Mouse for home. If you’ve used a combo lately that you really liked let me know and perhaps I’ll upgrade. My current one is nasty, but there isn’t anything better I can see.

Heart attack

Posted by brad on 13th June 2007

Click for the full effectI found myself walking through northpoint shopping centre today, the decord layout all the same, I didn’t think for a second some of the same old nosh bars from 10 years ago would still be there. That is until I roudned the corner and clocked this flashback. I don’t know if they called it a heart attack or if that was just our moniker. Roast pork, bacon, crackling, applesauce, egg and cheese all on a white roll of course - proper spud nosh is this. It sounds revolting just to think of it these days.
